Senior Public Safety Sales Consultant
I began my career in Public Safety in 1991 as a volunteer firefighter with the Mattydale Fire Department serving the community of Mattydale and surrounding Town of Salina from 1991-1996 and then again from 2000-2014.
I was elected and appointed Chief of Fire in 2005 and 2006 and worked as a career firefighter with Department of Defense at various military installations in New York, Virginia, and Massachusetts from 1995-2000 and again from 2002-2004. From 2011-2012 I was tasked with and completed job duties as Deputy Coordinator of HazMat for Onondaga County. I started an Associate’s Degree program in Fire Protection Technology at SUNY Onondaga Community College in 1991. In 2008, I returned to undergraduate work beginning a Bachelor’s of Science program at SUNY Empire State College. In June of 2012 graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Fire Service Administration.
I have worked as a dedicated employee of the Department of Emergency Communications for Onondaga County since September 2000 continue to perform the duties of a Public Safety Dispatcher for the Syracuse Police Department, as well as, fire and emergency medical services for Onondaga County and the Syracuse Fire Department. I was promoted to Supervisor of Dispatch Operations in 2012 supervising five employees on a regular basis and filling in for the Shift Supervisors in their absence. During the last three years I have gained experience in consulting and sales through different Public Safety Technology business ventures.
