Ken has been afforded numerous opportunities working in higher education, managing non-profit organizations and enjoying the world of the entrepreneur.
Today Ken is putting to use all of his experiences facilitating technology based economic development in Northeastern Pennsylvania among the region’s fourteen colleges and universities. Ken previously established and managed the Keystone Innovation Zones for Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties returning more than $2M per year and $26.4M all total to early-stage companies. In addition to managing a group of more than 40 clients in his portfolio, he also serves on the board of directors for the region’s five business incubators and the executive committees of the Scranton Chamber, Hazleton CANDO, Carbondale Technology Transfer Center, Wilkes-Barre Connect, the Scranton Area Foundation and Scranton Tomorrow. In 2017, Ken has had the honor of serving as the Commencement Speaker for Johnson College and was recognized as the 2017 Pennsylvania Technology Acceleration Leader of the Year by Accelerate PA.
As a resource for local entrepreneurs, Ken works with our state and federal legislators to bring opportunities to the region and currently holds a position with Ben Franklin Technology Partners of NEP where they provide funding and support to start-up companies and established manufacturers.
