Overview

An entrepreneur and aviation enthusiast, Sharon founded Women and Drones, which is dedicated to driving excellence in the UAS/AAM industry. She shares how the organization empowers women to connect, collaborate and make global business connections.

Sharon also discusses their new alliance, the “ConnexiCore Mentor Program – in Collaboration with Women and Drones”. The goal is to develop the business, technical and operational skill sets of newly-trained female drone pilots across North America.

Sharon Rossmark is the Chief Executive Officer of Women and Drones, the premier global platform for women who are disrupting, innovating, and shaping the future of the drone industry. She is also a FAA Certified Remote Pilot and a Transport Canada Advanced Certified Remote Pilot. Under her leadership, the company has launched seven brands including a “Kids with Drones” STEM initiative to the newly launched Women and Drones network across the continent of Africa.

In addition, Sharon is an author and international speaker, a business executive who has led profitable growth and business transformation initiatives for Fortune 100 companies, startups and nonprofit organizations.

She serves in an advisory capacity for the FAA UAS BVLOS ARC, the Transport Canada Drone Advisory Council, the Canadian Drone Institute, the CompTIA Drone Advisory Council, and the Drone Service Providers Alliance Board. Sharon earned her MBA from University of Illinois – Chicago and her BS from Illinois State University.
